After a POI search, you might have dozens of waypoints to review. Clicking each one individually to rename it or add a note is slow work. The new Bulk POI Editor gives you a full-screen table view of every POI along your route, so you can make changes quickly and move on to planning your ride.
What You Can Do
The editor opens as a full-screen table with one row per POI. Here's what each column gives you:
Star - Click the star icon to mark a POI as a favourite. Starred POIs appear highlighted in the sidebar list and are easy to filter for later.
Category - Shows the POI category icon (cafe, water, fuel, etc.) so you can see at a glance what type of stop each one is.
Name - Editable. Click into the name field and type to rename any POI. Changes are saved as soon as you move to the next field.
Note - Editable. Add a personal note to any POI - opening hours you've looked up, a reminder to check something, or a note about why you've kept this stop.
Distance from Start - Shows how far along the route each POI sits. Displayed in your chosen units (km or miles).
Side - Whether the POI is on the left (L) or right (R) side of your route. Handy for planning which side of the road you'll need to cross.
Off Track - How far the POI is from the actual route line, in metres or yards. Useful for spotting stops that require a detour.
Quick Actions
Each row also has two action buttons on the right:
Locate - Closes the editor and pans the map directly to that POI, opening its popup. Great for checking the surroundings or verifying a stop looks right before committing to it.
Delete - Removes the POI with a fade animation. The deletion feeds into PitStopper's undo system, so you can restore it from the Deleted POIs list if you change your mind.
Filter and Search
At the top of the editor there's a search box. Type any text and the table instantly filters to show only POIs whose name, note, or category matches. This is useful when you have a long list and want to find a specific stop, or when you want to see all cafes at once.
Expand and Collapse Notes
The Expand Notes and Collapse Notes buttons in the header toggle whether note fields are shown at their full height or kept compact. If you've added longer notes, expanding gives you a better view of what you've written.
Multi-Route Support
If you have multiple routes loaded, the editor groups POIs by route. Each route gets its own section with a coloured header matching the route colour on the map, so you always know which route a POI belongs to.
How to Open It
You can open the Bulk POI Editor in two ways:
- From the Tools menu in the header bar
- From the table icon in the sidebar, next to the POI list
A Faster Workflow
The Bulk POI Editor is designed for speed. Instead of clicking markers on the map one by one, you get everything in a single scrollable table. Rename five cafes, add notes to your water stops, star the ones you definitely want to visit, and delete the rest - all in a few seconds.
It's particularly useful after a broad POI search when you want to quickly triage the results and narrow down your plan before exporting.
