Discover Your Route's High Points
Ever wondered where exactly the top of that big climb is? Or where you'll find the best viewpoints along your route? Now you can find out with a single click.

How It Works
In the footer bar, you'll see your route's total ascent and descent. These aren't just statistics anymore - they're clickable:
- Click the ascent (arrow up) to highlight the top 5 peaks on your route
- Click the descent (arrow down) to highlight the lowest 5 valleys
Orange markers show peaks, blue markers show valleys. Each marker displays the elevation and rank (1st, 2nd, 3rd...) so you know which is the highest.
On the Elevation Chart Too
When you have the elevation chart expanded, the peaks and valleys also appear as colored dots on the chart itself. This makes it easy to see exactly where along your route these high and low points occur.
Why It's Useful
- Plan your photo stops - Peaks often have the best views
- Time your breaks - Know when you're reaching the summit
- Understand the terrain - See the rhythm of climbs and descents
- Share highlights - Click a marker to get Street View or add it as a POI
Click any marker to zoom in and see the location up close. From the popup, you can open Street View to preview the scenery, or add the spot as a custom POI to remember it for your ride.
Happy exploring!
