PitStopper On-the-go: a tour of the Android app

1:36  ·  1 October 2026

About this video

A minute and a half on PitStopper On-the-go, the Android app that keeps your planned stops in your pocket. It shows what the app does on a route through Glen Coe, why it is not another navigation app, and what we would like to know from you while it is in alpha.

Transcript

There are plenty of apps that tell you where to turn.

PitStopper On-the-go tells you where to stop.

Plan your route on PitStopper's website, then send it to your phone with a QR code. Every day of a tour arrives together.

Once it's loaded, it needs no signal. How far you've come, what you've climbed, and the next stop, always on screen.

It tells you about the next stop before you reach it, out loud if you like, even with the phone locked in your pocket.

It even shows whether the café will still be open when you get there.

No route? Nearby shows what's around you, ahead and behind.

Need fuel before dark? Search everything still ahead on the route.

Walking, cycling, motorbike or campervan, it times its warnings to how fast you travel.

And hospitals, defibrillators and pharmacies are saved along the way, just in case.

It isn't a navigation app. Keep the one you trust for directions. On-the-go answers a different question. What's coming up, and how far away is it?

It's still being built, and we'd like your help shaping it.

Is this something you'd use? Are these the right features? What's missing, and what else could it be?

Join the alpha at pitstopper dot net, and send us your ideas: hello at pitstopper dot net.

PitStopper On-the-go. Now in alpha, with every feature free until the end of 2026.
